The 2027 Jeep Grand Cherokee is arriving with refreshed styling, new technology and updated capability for Canadian drivers. For Alberta shoppers looking for an SUV that can handle daily driving, winter roads and weekend adventures, the newest Grand Cherokee continues to blend comfort with the rugged capability the Jeep brand is known for.
One of the most notable updates for 2027 is the available 2.0L Hurricane 4 Turbo engine, producing up to 324 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque. This turbocharged engine is designed to provide strong acceleration while also improving efficiency, with fuel economy ratings as low as approximately 10.4 L/100 km combined. When properly equipped, the 2027 Grand Cherokee can also tow up to 2,812 kg, or 6,200 lb, making it a practical choice for trailers, recreational equipment and weekend getaways. A 3.6L Pentastar V6 also remains available on select Laredo models.
The 2027 model also receives a refreshed exterior design. Updated front fascias, redesigned headlamps and new grille treatments give the Grand Cherokee a more modern appearance, while several new wheel designs add more customization options. New available colours such as Midnight Sky, Red Hot, Ember and Olive Green give buyers even more ways to personalize their SUV. The newly available Grand Cherokee Upland adds a more rugged look with unique 18-inch wheels, a matte-black hood decal, Vapour Grey tow hooks and a Trailhawk-inspired front fascia.
Inside, the Grand Cherokee continues to emphasize comfort and technology. An available 12.3-inch Uconnect 5 NAV touchscreen works alongside a standard 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, while available upgrades include wireless smartphone charging, a digital rearview mirror, a 10-inch Head-Up Display and a premium 19-speaker McIntosh audio system. Grand Cherokee L models can also offer family-friendly features such as FamCAM and available rear-seat entertainment with Amazon Fire TV.
Capability remains an important part of the 2027 Grand Cherokee lineup, especially for Alberta drivers. Depending on the model, available four-wheel-drive systems include Quadra-Trac I, Quadra-Trac II and Quadra-Drive II. Jeep’s available Selec-Terrain Traction Management System can also adjust vehicle settings for different conditions, including snow, mud, sand and rocky terrain. The capable Trailhawk also returns for 2027 on two-row Grand Cherokee models.
With updated styling, improved technology and plenty of all-season capability, the 2027 Jeep Grand Cherokee remains a strong choice for drivers who want comfort without giving up versatility.
